How It Works

KumaShape Pro has the synergistic combination of 5 technologies: Radio Frequency, Infrared Light, Cavitation, Negative Pressure, and Mechanical Roller.

This non-invasive procedure uses vacuum negative pressure suction to lift the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous fat. This results in deep heating of the fat cells, their surrounding connective tissue, and underlying dermal collagen fibres. The energy heats up the treated area to a specific degree, which causes fatty acids to be produced.

These fatty acids dissolve the fat cells during treatment. The dissolved fat cells are then extracted out of the body through the lymphatic system.

Furthermore, this type of heating and vacuum stimulates the growth of new and better collagen and elastin, resulting in a localised reduction in skin laxity, body volume, and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture.

Treatment Process

Once you’ve had your consultation appointment, we will be able to move forward with your first KumaShape session. In the days leading up to your treatment, you’ll want to remain well-hydrated.

The KumaShape technology is more effective when the skin cells are properly hydrated. We recommend increasing your water intake by two to three cups the day before your session.

During your treatment, you will be able to lie down comfortably while our skin therapist operates the handheld KumaShape device. This device will emit intense Radiofrequency energy deep into the tissue of your problem areas.

While delivering infrared heat and Radiofrequency energy into the skin, the device will also provide a vacuum effect that gently suctions the skin upwards. When all of these effects happen in conjunction, they produce a smoothing and tightening effect in the skin.

The energy and infrared light emitted by the device will also shrink fat cells. This helps reduce the appearance of cellulite and unwanted fat in the treatment areas.

Clients report that the KumaShape procedure is relaxing. You will feel some warmth from the device while your treatment is administered. The entire procedure can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to complete. The duration of your session will vary depending on the areas being treated.

Once complete, you will be able to return home and resume your normal activity right away. Body contouring treatments like KumaShape generally don’t require any recovery or downtime.

Results

To see optimal results from KumaShape, you will need to return for several treatment sessions. We recommend 6 to 10 sessions two weeks apart. After this initial series of treatments, it can take about 4 to 6 weeks to see results. This gives the skin enough time to respond to treatment.
