What to expect
Wax is carefully applied to the treatment area and removed to lift unwanted hair from the root. Your therapist works in sections to make the treatment as comfortable and efficient as possible.
Mild redness or sensitivity can occur immediately after waxing and will usually settle naturally.
Results typically last around 3–6 weeks, depending on the area treated, your individual hair growth cycle and how regularly you wax.
03
Before your appointment
For 24–48 hours before waxing:
- Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning on the treatment area.
- Avoid exfoliating immediately before your appointment.
- Do not shave the area between waxing appointments.
- Let your therapist know about any skincare products, medications or recent skin treatments that may make your skin more sensitive.
04
Aftercare
For the first 24–48 hours after waxing:
- Avoid hot baths, saunas and steam rooms.
- Avoid strenuous exercise if the area is sensitive.
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.
- Avoid fragranced products, deodorants or active skincare ingredients directly on freshly waxed skin, where applicable.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing after body waxing where possible.
Once the skin has settled, gentle exfoliation can be introduced to help minimise the likelihood of ingrown hairs.
