Skin Needling

Skin needling, also known as microneedling, uses fine, controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your treatment begins with a consultation and skin assessment to determine whether it is appropriate for you.

01

Consultation and suitability

Treatment planning should consider skin condition, relevant medical history, previous treatments and aftercare requirements. No two people have the same skin. Your treatment is tailored to your individual skin concerns, skin condition and goals.

02

What to expect

Your practitioner will explain what the appointment involves before treatment begins, including approximately how long it takes and what you may experience during it.

Following treatment, the skin may appear pink or red and can feel warm, tight or mildly sensitive, similar to a light sunburn. This generally settles as the skin recovers.

A personalised treatment plan and recommended treatment intervals will be discussed during your consultation, as these vary depending on your skin and the concerns being addressed.

03

Risks and recovery

Possible side effects, contraindications, recovery and aftercare are discussed with you individually before treatment, and written aftercare instructions are provided.

See Risks, Recovery & Aftercare for general information.

04

Outcomes vary between individuals. Only verified information about when a change may become apparent, how long it may last and whether further treatment may be considered will be published here. This page will not promise a particular outcome.
